Binghamton Cold Snap Coming To An End
After an unusually chilly month, Twin Tiers residents can expect a break from the brutally cold conditions over the next few days.
The National Weather Service at Binghamton is forecasting three consecutive days with high temperatures above freezing.
The outlook through next Wednesday calls for daytime highs of at least 30 and overnight lows of at least 15.
This respite from the frigid weather follows a January that featured ten days where temperatures fell below zero. People across the region faced dangerous wind chills during much of the month.
The private forecasting service AccuWeather in State College is offering some hope for winter-weary folks. Its long-range forecast for February suggests we may not have to endure any subzero temperatures during the month.
