The vacant snack stop at the Greater Binghamton could house a branch of a Johnson City brew pub.

Binghamton Brewing Company hopes to open at the airport in a few weeks offering several varieties of beer, other kinds of drinks and sandwich items if its contract bid is accepted by Broome County Lawmakers.

The space had previously housed the Gateway Café, which closed in March.  Prior to that, a Subway location was in the space.

Two other interested vendors had put in bids for the food service.

The Broome County Legislature is expected to vote on a contract later this month.
