The Binghamton Bearcats women's basketball team is working hard under new Head Coach Linda Cimino.  Cimino takes over for Nicole Scholl who was either an assistant or head coach for 15 seasons at BU.  This is the first Division I  head coaching position for Cimino who comes to BU from Division II Caldwell where she led the Cougars to a record of 128-100 over eight seasons.

Cimino takes over a team that went 5-25 overall and 2-14 in America East play.  Anytime a new coach takes over there can be personnel changes and after transfers and players electing not to compete for a position on this year's team Cimino has 10 players preparing for the 2014-15 campaign.

Cimino takes pride in her team's approach to the game.  Hustling and hard work take center stage along with enthusiasm.  Players are in perpetual motion during practice, clapping, cheering and offering encouragement to teammates during drills.  Fans will get a chance to see the new edition of the Bearcats when they host Mansfield State on Friday, November 7 at 5:30 PM at the Events Center.  The BU men will follow with a game against Oswego State in their final tune-up before traveling to Notre Dame on November 14th.
