Binghamton Bearcats Women Visit Niagara University
The Binghamton Bearcats women's basketball team travels to Niagara University tomorrow for a 2 PM tip-off against the Purple Eagles. BU is looking for its first Division I victory of the season. In the Bearcats last outing on Tuesday night Canisius topped BU 66-53. That put the Bearcats record at 0-3. Sherae Swinson paced Binghamton with 17 points.
Niagara is also 0-3 and lost 73-57 to St. Bonaventure in their last game. Val McQuade led the Purple Eagles with 13 points. Binghamton and Niagara have met four previous times with Niagara holding a 3-1 advantage. The Purple Eagles have won the past three meetings. The lone Binghamton victory came in 2008 when the Bearcats won at Niagara 83-65.
Tomorrow's game will be broadcast on ESPN 1360 AM WYOS beginning at 1:45 with Tim Heiman calling the action. BU will follow tomorrow's road game with a trip to the University of New Mexico Tournament next Friday and Saturday.
