WNBF News/ Roger Neel Photo

Jake Thomas slammed two home runs and drove in six runs to power the Binghamton Bearcats past the Maine Black Bears 8-2 Sunday afternoon at the Bearcats Sports Complex.  Thomas now leads America East in home runs with six.  The win enabled Binghamton to take two out of three games from the Black Bears this weekend and move into fourth place in the conference.

Sophomore Jake Cryts earned the win going 6.2 innings, giving up two runs and nine hits.  He ups his season record to 3-4.  Binghamton is now 12-19 overall and carries a 6-8 America East slate.  Maine stands 14-21 and 5-7 in AE competition.

The Bearcats travel to Cornell on Tuesday and to St. Bonaventure on Wednesday.  The Hartford Hawks invade the Bearcats Sports Complex for a three-game series next weekend.
