The Binghamton Bearcats men's and women's basketball teams meet the Stony Brook Seawolves tonight.  Both games are set for 7 PM starts....the women at Stony Brook and the men home at the Events Center.  Like Albany the Seawolves are long-time rivals of Binghamton teams.  For the men..Stony Brook has a series lead of 29-25 and the Seawolves have won the last four meetings.   On the women's side..BU leads the all-time series 20-12 and swept last season's two meetings.

At the Events Center the Bearcats face a team that was picked to finish second in  America East in the Preseason Coaches' Poll.  The Sea Wolves are living up to that billing and bring a record of 10-4  (1-0 in America East) into tonight's action.  Stony Brook has won six of its last eight games.  They are the best defensive team in America East holding teams to 59 points per game.  Tommy Brenton is regarded as one of the top forwards in the conference, averaging seven points and eight rebounds per game.  Anthony Jackson leads the Seawolves with 12..1 points per game.

Binghamton is paced by freshman Jordan Reed who is averaging 16.6 points and 9.9 rebounds per game.  Senior Jimmy Gray has scored 39 points over his last two games while Taylor Johnston scored a career-high 22 points against Albany on Monday.  Airtime is 6:50 tonight on News Radio 1290 WNBF.

On Long Island tonight the BU women look to improve on their 2-13 overall (1-1 in America East) record.  The Seawolves are 9-6 overall and 1-1 in conference play.  Sherae Swinson leads the Bearcats with 9.7 points per game while Jasbriell Swain leads the team in assists with 7.9 per game.  Sabre Proctor leads Stony Brook in scoring with 11.2 points per game and Jessica Previlon averages 9.1 rebounds per contest.  Airtime  is 650 on 1360 AM WYOS.
