It was a beautiful Easter Sunday and the Binghamton Bearcats softball team responded with a power-hitting display to rock the Hartford Hawks at the Bearcats Sports Complex 10-3.  The victory puts BU's season record at 18-18 overall and 8-3 in America East.  The Hawks fall to 7-25 overall and 1-11 in conference competition.

Underclassmen paced the Bearcats offensive attack.  Sophomore catcher Taylor Chaffee slammed a pair of home runs and drove in four runs for BU.  Sophomore first baseman Lisa Cadogan had one home run and drove in two runs.  Sophomore outfielder Sydney Harbaugh went 2-3 with two RBI.  Junior shortstop Caytlin Friis was also 2-3 at the plate.  Freshman outfielder Annika Wiesinger stretched her consecutive game hitting streak to 16 with a base hit.

The Bearcats host the Colgate Raiders this Wednesday in a non-conference doubleheader at 3 PM.  With today's win BU was able to sweep the weekend series versus Hartford.
