The Binghamton Bearcats continue their toughest stretch of the men's basketball season tonight at 7 PM (6:45 on News Radio 1290 WNBF) when they face the Vermont Catamounts at Patrick Gymnasium.  The Catamounts are 5-1 in America East action and lost their only conference game  at Stony Brook 67-64 on Friday night.

BU is coming off of a heart-breaking defeat 56-54 to Hartford at the Events Center on Thursday.  The game was tied at 54-54 when Taylor Dyson put-back a missed three-point shot by Wes Cole with just under four seconds to play to win it.

Point guard Yosef Yacob led the Bearcats in scoring with 14 points while Karon Waller had his best rebounding night as a Bearcat with 11 boards.  Jordan Reed returned following a one-game suspension and scored eight points and grabbed four rebounds for BU.

Ethan O'Day led the Catamounts in scoring against Stony Brook.  He hit for 16 points...all in the second half.  Vermont is in sole possession of second place in America East and overall carries a record of 11-9 into play tonight.  The Bearcats are 1-5 in AE play and 4-15 overall.

Vermont leads the series 21-7 and has won seven of the last eight meetings.  The Catamounts have been at or near the top of the conference over the past decade and have received post-season bids in eight of the past eleven seasons.
