The Binghamton Bearcats men's basketball team hosts the America East rivals from Hartford at the Events Center tonight.  Tip-off is set for 7 PM (airtime at 6:45 on News Radio 1290 WNBF).  The Bearcats are 1-4 in conference play while the Hawks are 3-2.  Overall BU  has a 4-14 slate while Hartford is 9-11.

Binghamton battled the Albany Great Danes in a 66-60 road loss on Monday night.  The Bearcats were in the game until the closing 10 seconds.  Nick Madray missed a three-point bid that could have put the Bearcats up by a point and in the battle for the rebound Roland Brown fouled Albany center John Puk who made both free throws to ice the victory for the Great Danes.

In Hartford's last outing also played on Monday they toppled UMass Lowell 69-51 as junior guard Wes Cole went 10-20 from three-point range and scored 30 points to pace the Hawks offensively.  Hartford averages 21 three-point attempts per game and they have won four of their last five games.

Binghamton expects to have standout guard Jordan Reed back for tonight's game.  Reed was suspended in a "coach's decision" for the Albany game.  Reed leads Binghamton in scoring averaging 14.9 points per game and 8.5 rebounds per contest.  Freshman forward Magnus Richards is also expected back after missing the Albany game due to the death of his grandfather.  Richards is averaging 4.5 rebounds per game.

Hartford leads the series 14-11 and the Hawks have won the last four meetings between the two schools.  Last time the two teams met Hartford topped BU 76-62 at the Events Center.
