Binghamton University standout freshman Jordan Reed  earned two honors at the America East Awards Reception this afternoon in Albany.  Reed was named to the AE All-Rookie team as well as garnering third-team All-Conference honors.

Reed is averaging over 16 points per game which is a fraction of a point less than Maine's Justin Edwards for the conference lead.  He also tops the conference in rebounding at a 9.6 per game clip.

Reed leads America East with 13 double-doubles which ranks in the top 15 in the nation and second among freshmen. His scoring figures are good enough to rank him fifth among freshmen in the country.

The Bearcats will be looking for Reed to lead them to an upset win over the AE's regular season champion Stony Brook Seawolves when they meet tomorrow at 6 PM (5:50 PM on News Radio 1290 WNBF).
