The Binghamton Bearcats are in action late this afternoon at the Bearcats Sports Complex adjacent to the Events Center on campus at Binghamton University.  They host the Marist Red Foxes at 5 PM.  BU won its season opener Friday night at Bucknell. The Bearcats got goals from Luca Bottoni and Charlie Novoth to lead them to a 2-1 victory.

Marist also comes into the match with a victory after an opening night 1-0 win over Villanova.  This is the fifth all-time meeting between the two schools.  The series is tied at 2-2-0.  They have not played each other since 2004 when the Bearcats posted a 3-2 win.

BU fields a young lineup.  In the win over Bucknell the Bearcats started three freshmen and goalkeeper Robert Moewes who is a sophomore.  Binghamton also welcomed back Tommy Moon who suffered a season-ending leg injury early last year.  He has been named Captain of this year's team.
