After a week off for a Christmas holiday break the Binghamton Bearcats women's basketball team got back into action, hosting the Bucknell Bison at the Events Center.

Before Christmas, Binghamton defeated Rider 72-67 at the Events Center for the Bearcats first home victory of the season.

In the win over Rider freshman Imani Watkins scored 29 points while another freshman Jasmine Sina notched 14 points.  Watkins earned her third America East Rookie of the Week honors following that performance.

Watkins continues to lead BU in scoring with 17 points per game while Sina is averaging 14.9 points per contest.  Also scoring in double figures for the Bearcats is senior forward Sherae Swinson.

Bucknell was 7-3.  The Patriot League member defeated Mt. St. Mary's December 21 74-49.The Bison were 3-3 when playing on the road.
