The Binghamton Mets will induct three new members into the Binghamton Baseball Shrine at NYSEG Stadium before their Friday, September 2nd game against Erie.  Pitchers Heath Bell, Nelson Figueroa and General Manager RC Reuteman are this year's selectees.

The trio brings to 63 the number of inductees selected for entry into the shrine.  Bell saw duty in three different seasons in Binghamton before heading to New York in 2004.  After joining the San Diego Padres he became a dominat closer.  He won the Rolaids Relief Man Award twice and was selected to the All-Star team three times.  From 2009 to 2011 Bell earned 132 saves which was tops in Major League Baseball in that span.

Figueroa pitched for the B-Mets in 1997 and 1998. He won 12 games in Binghamton in 1998 before getting traded to Arizona.  His Major League record is 20-35 in 145 games.  Figuerora is now a studio analyst on SNY for New York Mets' games.

Reuteman was the first general manager for the Binghamton Mets and served in that capacity for nine seasons.  He was named the Eastern League Executive of the Year in 1992 and was a two-time winner of the New York Mets organization's Frank Cashen Award presented for significant contributions to future Mets players.  He passed away in August of 2015.
