Binghamton Assessor’s Office to Help Seniors Renew Tax Exemptions

The  City of Binghamton Assessor is offering to help seniors in the city to complete their annual renewal applications for the Low Income Over 65 tax exemption and the Enhanced Senior Star exemption for school tax relief. The office can also help first time filers who are now 65.The assistance is being offered February 6th and February 21st at 12:30 p.m. at the First Ward Senior Center.

Residents must call the assessor's office at (607) 772-7002 or the First Ward Senior Center at (607) 729-6214.

All exemption applications have to be submitted by March first.
