A couple more school districts in Broome County are moving forward with their budget process now that there is a state budget in place and school aid amounts set.

In Vestal, the school board has approved a $74 million spending plan that carries a tax levy increase of 2.85%.

The Binghamton City School District Board of Education approved a $108 million budget that increases the tax levy by 2.95%.

There are no job cuts planned in either district.

Earlier, the Union Endicott School Board approved a budget that retained jobs and programs thanks to an increase in anticipated aid from New York State.

Public hearings will be held on the proposals and all school districts in New York State will hold budget votes May 20.
