The National Weather Service has lifted a flood watch that had been in effect for the Twin Tiers.

Although some additional showers were expected in the region, forecasters indicated the threat of possible small stream and urban flooding had diminished.

A flood watch remained in effect for counties east of Broome because total rainfall amounts were expected to be significantly higher.

Although it'll be cloudy early Friday, skies are expected to become partly sunny during the afternoon.

Saturday's forecast calls for sunny skies with a high in the mid-seventies.
