The Binghamton Senators announced an extension of their current affiliation with the Ottawa Senators today.  The agreement extends Binghamton's tie with Ottawa through the 2018-19 season.  It adds four years onto the existing agreement which was good through the upcoming campaign.

In making the announcement Tom Mitchell, Executive Vice President of Operations for Binghamton said "the relationship between the B-Sens and Ottawa Senators has strengthened and really solidified over recent years.  We have every intention of maintaining the high standards required by the AHL and remaining a top notch environment for Ottawa's young players to develop in."

Randy Lee, the Ottawa Senators General Manager and General Manager of the B-Sens says " Binghamton's proximity to Ottawa and our great working relationship with the B-Sens ownership team made extending our agreement with them something of significant importance to us."

Professional hockey has been in Broome County since the early 1970's .  This marks the 13th season of Binghamton's affiliation with Ottawa.  Binghamton coach Luke Richardson is also excited about the continued affiliation.  Richardson will join Roger Neel tomorrow morning at 8:40 on News Radio 1290 to talk about today's announcement and the start of training camp in Ottawa.
