A joint session of Binghamton city councilmembers and Johnson City village trustees has been scheduled to discuss issues related to the sewage treatment plant in Vestal.

The special session is to be held Monday, January 28 at 5:00 p.m. at the Johnson City village hall at 243 Main Street.

Lawmakers are expected to review differences between the Joint Sewage Treatment Plant intermunicipal agreement adopted by Johnson City and the version adopted by Binghamton.

They also will discuss bills that have been paid by the city of Binghamton on behalf of the treatment plant board.

Lawmakers also are expected to talk about Federal Emergency Management Agency payments.

The meeting is to be open to the public.
