A large, oversize load will continue its journey through parts of northeast Pennsylvania over the next several days.  In a press release from the Pennsylvania State Police (http://www.psp.pa.gov/Pages/default.aspx) Edwards Moving and Rigging, INC from Shelbyville, Kentucky will continue to move a large turbine through both Bradford and Sullivan Counties to Berwick, Pa.

The turbine is from GE Turbine in Schenectady, NY.  The journey began last weekend and is expected to end sometime this Thursday.  Travel hours are will range from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

The turbine is enormous.  In the police press release it is stated that the equipment is 345 feet long, 20 feet wide and 18 feet tall.  It weighs over 917,000 pounds.

Police report that a crew of safety personnel, linesmen and Pa. State Police are escorting the massive load .  Police ask motorists to use other routes away from the turbine transportation. Roadways impacted include: SR220, SR6, SR42, SR239, SR487, Interstate 80, SR11 and SR4002.
