A big run to close the first period enabled the Canisius Golden Griffins to roll to an 80-50 victory over the Binghamton Bearcats women's basketball team November 25 in Buffalo.  Canisius led by a 19-17 score near the end of the first period  but the Golden Griffins went on a 17-6 run to lead 36-23 at the half.

Another powerful Canisius run to begin the third period put the host team up 57-31 and they never looked back.  The loss drops the Bearcats record to 2-3 while Canisius moves to 2-2.

Binghamton's Imani Watkins paced all scorers with 21 points.  Alyssa James also had a big game for the Bearcats with 17 points and seven rebounds.

The Bearcats travel to Xavier November 28 at 2:00 p.m. (air at 1:45 on News Radio 1290 WNBF).  They complete their three consecutive road games stretch with a game at Brown University on Thursday, December 3.
