Bearcats Watch Walk-On Strut His Stuff

The Binghamton Bearcats had an unexpected “walk-on” candidate show up at Saturday’s basketball doubleheader against the New Hampshire Wildcats at the Events Center.

On a couple of occasions a “wild bird” made an appearance on the Events Center basketball court.  A pigeon calmly strolled out to the Bearcats logo at center court and surveyed the situation before the women’s game.

After checking out the hardwood the mystery bird ambled off the court and took in the rest of the day’s action from an undisclosed location.  Was this pigeon looking to become a Bearcat ?  Testing walk-on status ?  Trying to find a home court ?  Or a spy from a future America East opponent ?

The Bearcats men’s team host UMBC’s Retrievers tomorrow night at 7 PM.  Will this pesky pigeon return ?  If so keep an eye on the court for the”rest of the story.”
