The Binghamton Bearcats battled the nation's 19th-ranked team in men's soccer Saturday night and came away with a 1-1 deadlock after two overtime sessions.  The UMass Lowell River Hawks came into the contest undefeated and ranked 19th in nationwide polls.

UMass Lowell looked like they were going to clinch the America East opener for both teams.  Up 1-0 heading into the closing 30 seconds of play Binghamton's Charlie Novoth fed a pass to Kevin Flesch who headed the feed into the River Hawk's goal with just 27 seconds to play in regulation.

The teams battled through a pair of 15 minute sudden death overtime periods and the match was considered a draw.  That moves Binghamton's record to 5-2-4 while the River Hawks move to 7-0-2.

Next up for Binghamton is a home contest versus the Hartford Hawks Saturday at the Bearcats Sports Complex.  Game time is set for 7:00 PM.
