Both Binghamton Bearcats soccer teams have gotten off to good starts.  Neel Battacharjee's women's team is off to its best start since 2004.  With a 2-0 shutout win over Iona on Sunday the Bearcats upped their record to 4-1-1.  It is the best start for the program since 2004.

Coach Paul Marco's men's soccer team stands at 2-2 after falling to 15th-ranked Virginia Tech in Harrisonburg, Virginia by a final score of 2-1 on Sunday.  The Hokies came from behind to post the win.

Coming up tonight (Thursday) the women travel to Easton, Pa. to meet Lafayette out of the Patriot League.  The Leopards are 2-2.

The BU men travel to Fairfax, Virginia to meet George Mason on Friday night.  The Patriots are 2-1-1.

The next home game for the BU men's soccer team is Saturday, September 16 versus Columbia University.  The women do not return to the Bearcats Sports Complex until  Sunday, October 1 when they host the Vermont Catamounts.
