The Binghamton Bearcats women's basketball team erased a 24-22 halftime deficit with an explosive 21-7 edge in the third period and went on to defeat Army West Point 60-47 on Sunday afternoon at the Events Center.  The Bearcats upped their record to 4-3 while the Army West Point Black Knights fall to 1-4.

Binghamton was led by Rebecca Carmody and Olivia Ramil who both posted double-doubles.  Carmody shook off an ankle injury to score ten points and grab 12 rebounds while Ramil scored 12 points and snared 11 rebounds for the Bearcats.  Also scoring in double figures for BU was Carly Boland with 11 points.  She scored a trio of three-point shots to account for nine of her 11 points.

Binghamton's big advantage was in rebounding.  The Bearcats finished with 45 rebounds compared to 31 for the Black Knights.  Fueled by the explosive third period Binghamton outscored Army West Point 38-23 in the second half.

Binghamton concludes its four-game homestand Friday night at 7:00 P.M by hosting Fairleigh Dickinson out of the Northeast Conference.  Airtime is scheduled for 6:45 on News Radio 1290 WNBF.
