The Binghamton Bearcats men's basketball team officially opened pre-season practice today (Wednesday) at the Events Center.  Binghamton Head Coach Tommy Dempsey and his staff welcomed the 2016-17 edition of the Binghamton Bearcats.

Binghamton finished 8-22 last season and was 5-11 in America East competition. Willie Rodriguez paced the Bearcats in scoring with 15.1 points per game.  Marlon Beck was second averaging 9.8 points per outing.

The Bearcats appear to have added depth both in the back court and up front.

Dusan Perovic appears to be fully recovered from a knee injury that forced him to miss the second half of his freshman season  Transfer guard J.C. Show is coming off a troublesome foot injury that has plagued him for the past two years.  Another guard  Yosef Yacob returns after missing all of last season with a rotator cuff injury that required surgery.
