The Binghamton Bearcats men's basketball team is on Long island to meet the Stony Brook Seawolves tonight at 7 PM (air at 6:45 on News Radio 1290 WNBF).  The Bearcats face one of their long-time rivals going back to Division III competition.  Stony Brook is ranked second in America East with a record of 11-2.  One of those losses was to Binghamton at the Events Center on January 22 when the Bearcats topped the Seawolves 71-67.  Binghamton comes into tonight's game at 3-10 in conference play and is seventh in America East standings.

The Seawolves have won their last five games and are 6-1 on their home court....the Island Federal Credit Union Arena which seats 4,009.  It is expected to be a standing room only crowd.  Four-year standout Jameel Warney, who led the Seawolves to the NCAA Tournament  last season, will have his number retired in ceremonies during the night.

Binghamton forward Bobby Ahearn is expected to be available for action after missing the last two games with a broken nose suffered at Vermont on February 6th.  Ahearn is averaging 9.7 points per game and 4.7 rebounds per contest.  Leading scorer Willie Rodriguez (11.7 ppg) looks to be recovered from a bout with the flu that limited him to three points in the Bearcats last game against New Hampshire on Sunday.
