The Binghamton Bearcats men's basketball team completed an Events Center sweep with a 101 - 54 romp over Marywood University on Friday.  The Bearcats rode a 51-19 advantage into the half and outscored the smaller Pacers 50-35 in the second half to win going away.   It is the first time a Binghamton team reached triple figures since the Bearcats defeated Bridgeport 105-60 on January 12, 2000 when they were playing in Division II.

With the win Binghamton closes it non-conference schedule at 9-6.  It is the most non-conference wins for a BU team since the program moved to the Division I level.

Willie Rodriguez led the way with 21 points in just 20 minutes of playing time.  He hit nine of ten shots and made his first eight attempts until missing a three-point try in the second half.

Three other Bearcats hit double figures.  Everson Davis notched 15 points, Fard Muhammad connected for 13 points including a trio of three-point baskets.  Marlon Beck was on fire in the first half notching 11 points in just six minutes of action.  He connected on three of four shots from beyond the arc.

As a team BU shot a scorching 61 percent from the field and went 14-22 for 64 percent from three-point range.  Up next the Bearcats open America East play at UMBC on Thursday night at 7 PM.  Fans can hear the game on News Radio 1290 WNBF beginning at 6:45.
