Bearcats Look to Stop Great Danes

The Binghamton Bearcats women's basketball team faces a major test at the SEFCU Arena in Albany when they meet the number one team in America East.  The Great Danes are 10-0 in America East competition.  Overall Albany boasts a 19-3 record.  In their last game the Great Danes crushed Hartford 78-41 to stretch their winning streak to 11 straight. Shereesha Richards leads the conference in scoring averaging 22.9 points per game.

The Bearcats come into tonight's action with a 5-5 America East record and 10-13 overall. All-time in the series between the two schools Albany has a 33-25 advantage. The Bearcats have a three-pronged attack.  Imani Watkins is averaging 16.1 points per game and ranks fifth in conference scoring.  Alyssa James is sixth in the conference in scoring with a 15.6 points per game average.  Kim Albrecht is also in double-figures scoring 11.8 points per game.

Tonight's game begins at 7:00 PM.  The game will be aired on ESPN 1360 AM beginning at 6:45 PM.
