The Binghamrton Bearcats men's basketball team was back in action with the Mount St. Mary's Mountaineers visiting the Events Center.  Both teams are in need of a victory.  The Mount comes in with a record of 3-9 while rthe Bearcats are 2-9.  They come in riding a three-game losing streak while the Bearcats check-in having lost their last five outings.

It was the sixth meeting between the two schools.  The Mount holds a 3-2 series edge in the series.  Last year The Mountaineers won in dramatic fashion.  After Willie Rodriguez put the Bearcats up 68-67 with two free throw conversions with 13.8 seconds left, Andrew Smeathers hit a pair of free throws for Mount St. Mary's to give them a 69-68 victory.

The Bearcats expect to be without 6-9 center Thomas Bruce again.  He suffered a wrist injury against St. Francis and is day-to-day.  Binghamton is led in scoring by Willie Rodriguez who is averaging 14.1 points per game.
