The Binghamton Bearcats men's basketball team plays host to Florida International University December 22 at 7:00 at the Events Center. It is the first ever meeting between the two schools.  The Panthers are 4-7 following a weekend overtime loss at Northern Illinois.  They are members of Conference USA.

The Panthers are led in scoring by 6-11 Center Adrian Diaz.  Diaz was a member of the Conference USA All-Defensive Team last season.  Going into last weekend he was averaging 16.1 points per game and grabbing 9.1 rebounds per contest.  He also had 41 blocked shots in ten games.  Daviyon Draper is averaging 14 points per game and Donte McGill is averaging over 13 points per contest.

The Bearcats hope to get forward Bobby Ahearn back from a concussion suffered in BU's game at the University at Buffalo.  Romello Walker has missed the last three games with a should injury and Coach Tommy Dempsey announced today that Walker will need season-ending surgery.  Thomas Bruce will also be sidelined.  He suffered a wrist injury in the Bearcats'  last game against St. Francis of Pa.

This is Binghamton's only game this week.  They host Mount St. Mary's next Tuesday, December 29 to wrap-up the 2015 portion of the schedule.
