Bearcats Host America East Softball

The Binghamton Bearcats clinched the America East regular season softball championship on Saturday and now look to take the next step as they play host to the America East Softball Tournament at the Bearcats Sports Complex.  Play begins tomorrow (Wednesday) morning as 4th seed Stony Brook meets UMBC at 11:00 AM.  At 1:30 3rd seed Albany hosts number 6 Hartford.  Then at 4:00 PM the losers in the first two games will square off to conclude the day's competition.

The Bearcats first action in the double elimination tournament will be on Thursday morning at 11:00 AM when they play the winner of Wednesday's Stony Brook versus UMBC game.  If the Bearcats win that contest they would advance to play on Friday also at 11:00 AM.

The Bearcats hosted the America East Tournament in 2013 and won the event last season qualifying for the NCAA Tournament.  This year's tournament concludes on Saturday with a Noon game and if needed a 2:30 PM contest.
