Bearcats Hope to Go the Distance in Florida

Two standout Binghamton Bearcats look to make their mark in the NCAA East Regional Outdoor Track & Field Championships.  Senior middle distance runner Jesse Garn has advanced to the finals of the 800 and Keishorea Armstrong will compete in the long jump and the triple jump.

The three-day meet May 29-31 is being held in Jacksonville, Florida at North Florida University.  In the 800 there will be three heats of eight runners.  The top three finishers in each heat as well as the next three fastest times will advance to the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Oregon on June 10-13.

There will be four heats of 12 competitors in both the long jump and triple jump.  The top overall finishers will advance to the NCAA Championships.
