The Binghamton Bearcats men's lacrosse team earned a number of honors at the America East Annual Awards Banquet held in Albany last night.  The event is held prior to the conference's championship tournament which begins today with the Bearcats meeting UMBC at 4:30 in a semifinal contest.  Binghamton is the third seed while UMBC is seeded second.  At 7:00 PM the number one seed Albany meets Stony Brook.  The winners meet in Albany on Saturday at noon for the America East Championship with that winner receiving an NCAA Tournament bid.

Among the Binghamton award-winners were Garrett Waldron, senior defenseman, who was named the America East Defensive Player of the Year and Head Coach Kevin McKeown who along with his assistants received the conference's Coaching Staff of the Year Award.

Also, First Team All Conference honors went to senior Tom Moore who set the Binghamton school record for most goals in a single season with 43 and for points in single season with 67.  Also, earning First Team honors was senior goalkeeper Tanner Cosens from Maine-Endwell High School.  He ranks fourth in the nation with a 7.56 goals-against-average.  He is 16th in the country with a .543 save percentage.

Under Coach McKeown the Bearcats had a 10-4 overall record finished 4-2 in America East.  The two conference losses were to the top two seeds...Albany and UMBC.
