A visit to the E.J. Wade Arena in the Siegel Center will quickly illustrate how successful Virginia Commonwealth University has been in men's basketball.  The Rams were 25-11 last season and for ten consecutive seasons have won 24 or more games.  They have been to six consecutive NCAA Tournaments.  NCAA Tournament banners decorate half of the arena.  The arena has a capacity of 7,637 and tonight they will sell out for the 85th consecutive time.

This is the first time the two teams meet on the basketball court.  This is part of the Battle 4 Atlantis Tournament and following tonight's game the Rams will meet Baylor in the Bahamas next week.

This will be the tenth time the Rams have faced an America East team.  In those previous meetings VCU is 8-1.

The Bearcats hope their inspired play they showed in the second half in the win over Central Connecticut State can carry over into tonight's contest.  Fans can follow the action on News Radio 1290 WNBF beginning at 6:45 PM and also online at wnbf.com.
