Binghamton University's men's basketball team begins its 'third' season on Long Island when the Bearcats meet the Stony Brook Seawolves at 7:00 p.m. at the Island Federal Credit Union.  Teams look at three different portions of a season...non-conference, conference and post-season.  Binghamton hopes it is not a "one and done" experience. Tonight is an America East quarter-final game.

The Bearcats enter tonight's action as a sixth seed and finished play in America East with a record of 5-11.  Stony Brook is a third seed with a conference mark of 12-4.  The Seawolves defeated Binghamton twice in the regular season including a 64-52 victory on February 21 at Stony Brook.

In order to pull off a road win and advance to a weekend semi-final contest the Bearcats will need to contain the conference's premier big-man, Jameel Warney.  Warney earned First-Team All Conference honors, was named to the All-Defensive Team and won his second consecutive Player of the Year award.  Warney leads the nation with 19 double-doubles, averages 15.7 points per game and 11.3 rebounds per outing.

Binghamton will try to counter with standout freshman Willie Rodriguez who is averaging 11.6 points per game and leads BU  in rebounding with 5.5 per game. Rodriquez was named to the America East All-Rookie Team.

Tonight's game will be broadcast on News Radio 1290 WNBF.  Airtime is set for 6:45 p.m..
