The Binghamton Bearcats men's basketball team escaped the area's heavy snow and strong, gusty winds early this morning.  The team departed for Florida and four consecutive games in the "Sunshine State".  The team left the Events Center parking lot shortly after 4:00AM and made it to Syracuse just in time to board a flight to Fort Lauderdale.  The plane touched down safely just after noon.  Players were greeted by clear skies, sunshine and 75 degree temperatures, a far cry from the icy cold weather and a foot or more of snow.

Binghamton opens the four game road trip at Ave Maria Tuesday night at 7:00 PM (air at 6:45 on News Radio 1290 WNBF).
