The Binghamton Bearcats men's basketball team battled the New Hampshire Wildcats even through regulation but were outscored 13-6 in  overtime and lost a 73-66 decision to New Hampshire.  The win puts the Wildcats America East conference record at 2-3 while the Bearcats fall to 1-4.

Binghamton had five players score in double figures.  Leading the way were Romello Walker and Justin McFadden who netted 12 points each.  Willie Rodriguez and Marlon Beck scored 11 point apiece and Yosef  Yacob notched 10 points.

The Wildcats also had five players score in double figures.  They were led by Tanner Liessner with a 17 point game.  The Wildcats held a big edge in rebounding with a 47-27 margin.

The game ended in controversy in regulation.  Binghamton's Justin McFadden drove into the lane and got off a shot in the closing seconds that missed.  Bobby Ahearn grabbed the rebound as the buzzer sounded.  He was fouled but upon video review the officials ruled time had expired prior to the foul.  That sent the game into overtime.
