The Binghamton Bearcats dropped a 1-0 decision to the UMass Lowell River Hawks October 10 on Homecoming Weekend at Binghamton University.  The River Hawks got the evening's only goal from Wuilito Fernandez in the 79tth minute.  That was the fourth goal of the season for Fernandez.

Binghamton had several solid scoring chances in the second half but was not able to score.  Outstanding goalkeeping was seen from both sides. Robert Moewes made two saves for the Bearcats.  Austin Kroll stopped five shots for the River Hawks.  Both are on the Hermann Trophy Watch List.

With the win the River Hawks move to 6-5-0 and 1-1-0 in America East play.  The Bearcats fall to 6-5-1 and 1-1-0 in conference play.  Next up for Binghamton is a road game at New Hampshire on Wednesday evening at 7:00 PM.  A season - high crowd of 1,624 turned out to celebrate Homecoming Weekend at the Bearcats Sports Complex.
