The Binghamton Bearcats clobbered the visiting NJIT Highlanders in women's basketball at the Events Center on Sunday afternoon.  The Bearcats used a 20-9 second period bulge to go up 37-22 at the half and wound up with a 67-36 romp for their sixth win of the season. The Highlanders remain winless and fall to 0-10.

Binghamton continued its dominance with a 20-3 explosion in the third period.  The Bearcats had three players in double-digit scoring.

WNBF News/Roger Neel Photo  Jasmine Sina made five three-point shots for 15 points to lead all scorers in the game,  Alyssa James registered a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds.  James, the nation's leading shot blocker in Division I competition, made four blocks in the BU win.  The top-scorer in America East, Imani Watkins, also hit for double figures with 10 points.

The Highlanders were led by guard Ellyn Stoll who scored 11 points. The Bearcats scored on 43 percent of their shots.  The Highlanders were held to 24 percent from the field and made just 14 shots in 59 attempts including a 5-23 showing (22 percent) from three-point range.
