The Binghamton Bearcats men's basketball team had a two-game winning streak  snapped by the Penn Quakers last night at the Palestra in Philadelphia by a final score of 65 - 54.  Three-point shooting was the key in the game as the Quakers notched 10 three-point shots to just two for Binghamton.

The Bearcats trailed by five points at the end of the first half but could not get closer than four points in the second half. Jordan Reed led the Bearcats with 17 points and 11 rebounds.  It marked the fifth game in a row he has hit for double figures and in four of the five games he has also notched double digits in rebounding.  Rayner Moquette scored 10 points for BU and Alex Ogundadegbe grabbed 12 rebounds for ther Bearcats.

It was the first meeting between the two schools.  The game was played at one of the most historic arenas in the east...the Palestra.  Built in the 1920's the Palestra borders on Franklin Field and is home to the Penn Quakers.  Numerous other college and high school games have been played there as well.
