The Binghamton Bearcats men's basketball team trailed by just five points at the half but were outscored 40-23 in the second half and fell to second-ranked Michigan 74-52 in Ann Arbor December 30.  Three-point shooting was a key aspect in the game as Binghamton went 4-12 from beyond the arc while the Wolverines hit 11 of their 18 tries from beyond the line.  Michigan's Jordan Poole made six of those three-pointers for 18 points.

Top gun in the game was Ignas Brazdeikis who scored 21 points including 14 in the second half.  Binghamton was led by 14 points from Chancellor Barnard and 13 from Caleb Stewart.  Everson Davis scored eight points for the Bearcats.

With the win the Woverines, ranked second in the nation in the latest AP poll up their record to 13-0.  It is the third win at the Crisler Arena for the Wolverines over Binghamton teams.  Binghamton falls to 4-10 and returns home for two straight games at the Events Center.  The Bearcats host Columbia on Wednesday night and then usher in America East play by hosting New Hampshire on Saturday at 2:00 P.M.
