Bearcats Baseball Travels To Raleigh To Meet NC State In NCAA Tournament

The Binghamton Bearcats have had a memorable 24 hours.  Yesterday they shutout the regular season champion Maine Black Bears 4-0 to win the America East Tournament Championship and qualify for an NCAA bid.  Shortly after noon today they learned that they will travel to Raleigh, North Carolina to face North Carolina State.  NC State, out of the Atlantic Coast Conference, is ranked ninth in the nation and brings a record of 44-14 into Friday's game.

BU is 30-23 and will advance to the NCAA National Tournament for the second time in the past five years.  The other two teams in the double-elimination Raleigh Regional are William & Mary and 21st-ranked Ole Miss.

Game time Friday is 7 PM and will be televised on ESPN3.
