Night baseball is coming to the Binghamton University campus tonight (Wednesday) when the Bearcats host the Cornell Big Red at 6:30.  It is the first night baseball game ever on campus.  Night baseball is made possible by an anonymous donor's $2.2 million gift.  The gift provided for an entire Field Turf playing surface and lights for night games and practices.

The Bearcats have been on fire. Under 25th year head coach Tim Sinicki,  Binghamton is off to a 20-7 start.  BU is riding a seven game winning streak and the Bearcats have won 11 of their last 13 games.

Cornell is also playing well.  The Big Red carry a record of 18-15 into tonight's contest.  In an April 12th game at Cornell the Big Red defeated Binghamton 6-4.  Freshman pitcher Ben Anderson, a 26th round draft pick of the Toronto Blue Jays, is the scheduled starter for the Bearcats.
