The Binghamton Bearcats can clinch the America East Regular Season baseball Championship with a win today when they host the Hartford Hawks in a doubleheader beginning at noon at the Bearcats Sports Complex.  Binghamton needs a win or a UMBC loss this weekend to nail down first place and a top seed in next weekend's America East Baseball Championship Tournament.

Heading into today's twinbill the Bearcats are 12-4 in America East action and 27-11 overall.  Next week's conference tournament will be played in Lowell, Massachusetts.  In future years Binghamton has positioned itself to be a host for the conference tournament.  With an all-turf playing surface and state of the art lighting Binghamton's facility is now among the best in the northeast.

The first game today is set for nine innings with the nightcap slated for seven innings.  They will play a single nine inning game tomorrow.
