The Binghamton Bearcats men's lacrosse team clobbered UMass Lowell at the Bearcats Sports Complex Saturday 16-5.  16 goals tied an all-time single game high for BU men's lacrosse.  Zach Scaduto paced the BU attack with four goals.  The win ups Binghamton's America East record to 2-1.

At UMass Lowell the Binghamton baseball team earned a split with the River Hawks.  In the opening game of a doubleheader the Bearcats shutout UMass Lowell 5-0.  Jake Cryts was outstanding firing up six innings of shutout work to get the win.  Second baseman Reed Gamache had a pair of hits and stole three bases in the victory.

In the nightcap the River Hawks handed the Bearcats their first conference loss 2-1 in eight innings.  Starter Mike Bunai notched nine strikeouts in seven innings on the mound. UMass Lowell  scored the winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning to hand the Bearcats their first America East defeat.  BU is now 7-1 in the conference.  The two teams play the rubber game of the series at noon on Sunday.
