A pair of standout Binghamton Bearcats women's basketball players have been named to the America East Preseason All-Conference Team.  Senior forward Alyssa James and senior guard Imani Watkins were named to the team in a vote of conference head coaches.  No coach could vote for his or her team member.

James has brought a major inside presence to the Bearcats front court.  Last season she set a single-game conference record with 11 blocks in a game against Stony Brook.  Averaging seven rebounds per game James was third in that category in America East.  Her 2.3 blocks per game was third in the conference and 28th nationally.

Watkins was second in America East scoring last season with an average of 18.8 points per game.  She was second in steals in the conference with 2.2 steals per game.

Others named to the Preseason All League Team include Carlie Pogue from New Hampshire, Jessica Fequiere from Albany and Sierra DaCosta from Hartford.

The Bearcats open their season on Friday, November 10 at Army.
