Bearcat Rookie Earns A E Honors

Binghamton Bearcat freshman Fard Muhammad has been named the America East Rookie of the Week.  Muhammad averaged double figures in two BU games over the past week.  At UMBC the rookie tallied 16 points and notched ten more against UMass Lowell on Sunday.

Muhammad from Windemere, Florida averaged 13 points in the team's first two America East contests.  He also averaged four rebounds over the two-game span.

Muhammad has made six starts in the backcourt for the Bearcats.  He is a standout three-point shooter and has gone 30-73 for a 41 percent conversion rate. On the season Muhammad is averaging 7.3 points per game in 16.4 minutes of action per outing.  Overall, he is shooting at a .386 percent clip and has made nine of his ten free throws.
