Tim Sinicki's Binghamton Bearcats Baseball Team is off to its best-ever start at the Division I level.  The Bearcats are 7-3 after sweeping their four-game series at 19th ranked Va.Tech last weekend.  Prior to that Binghamton traveled to Richmond and defeated Toledo twice and Richmond once.

Binghamton has won seven consecutive games and will travel to Newark, Delaware this Friday through Sunday for four games....two versus Wagner College and two versus host Delaware.

The Bearcats have gotten solid pitching and stellar hitting over the first three weeks of the season.  One of the keys to Binghamton's early success is infielder Paul Rufo.  Rufo, from Cedar Grove, New Jersey earned a pair of awards for his outstanding play against Va. Tech.  In the four-game series he hit .476, had ten hits and drove in six runs.  He is the America East Player of the Week as well as garnering Binghamton University's Athlete of the Week award.
