William Bandera and his family continued a tradition today...one that has lasted 24 years.  He along with family members and dozens of volunteers gave up much of their time to prepare, serve and in many cases deliver Christmas Dinners for several thousand area residents.

The majority of people visited American Legion Post 80, 76 Main Street in Binghamton.  This year for the first time there was a second location provided.  The Boys and Girls Club of Western Broome in Endicott also was staffed by volunteers serving meals to those who came for a meal and for fellowship on Christmas Day.

Bob and Kris Devente were volunteer coordinators at the Endicott location. They supervised a number of others who welcomed visitors and dished out turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, green beans, soup and dessert.  Volunteers took shifts with some working well before the dinner serving hours of  Noon - 3 PM. All seemed content to spend part of their Christmas holiday making others happy in the true spirit of Christmas giving.
