Organizer of the annual Bandera Family Christmas dinner, Bill Bandera, speaking with Roger Neel on Binghamton Now on Christmas Eve, said the community came through in amazing fashion to help fund this year's dinner.  The average yearly expense for the dinner is over $8,000.  Bandera says there was only about $1500 available just a few weeks ago but the community responded so well that there is now enough to cover this year's expenses and part of 2015.

Hundreds of volunteers gave up a large part of their Christmas to help.  The is no cost to those who attend the dinner.  It includes turkey and ham and side dishes such as mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, cranberries and soup.  Deliveries were also available.

Anyone who would like to make a contribution to help with the costs of next year's dinner can make a check out to: " Bandera Family Dinner" and can mail it to: Bandera Family Dinner, 705 Milton Avenue, Syracuse, NY 13204.  Information is also available online at www.BFACA.org.
